Once the smoke cleared, Ramona M. found Ritz Renovation, Inc. online, just the right contractor who could get her family out of this mess. They needed someone who could arrange a team of licensed professionals and work with the Department of Buildings, Con Edison, and National Grid to get the Peremptory Vacate Order lifted and the utilities restored.
When I arrived on the scene, the bumper to their car was still laying on the floor inside the living room; it was surreal.
First, we hired a Licensed Electrician to replace two GFCI outlets that were ripped out of the wall. Believe it or not, this was the simplest part.
Next, we brought in a Licensed Plumber to repair the damaged gas lines, update the system to the current code, and pressure test for leaks.
Finally, we got a Registered Engineer to certify there was no structural damage as it was a non-load bearing wall.

"Steve went above and beyond what he was supposed to do. He made several trips to the Department of Buildings in order to fix our problems. He was always friendly and outgoing and suggested how we could do things in a more affordable way. Thanks again!"
